I have been lucky enough to go to Paris 3 times now and on my last visit, 3 years ago, I discovered the gem that is a french macaroon. They are lovely little almond cookies that are truly out of this world! They come in all sorts of flavors, google french macaroons and prepare to be amazed!
If you are ever near Rockefeller Center, go to http://www.lamaisonduchocolate.com and purchase some, they will not disappoint! The last 2 times in Paris I stayed at the same hotel, Hotel Leuticia and there was a La Maison du Chocolate (house of chocolate) on the corner, after being in Paris for a week, they knew my name, I went EVERY day and then brought some home. I have yet to visit their NYC store, but I think that is going on my Holiday Wish List.
